Why a “Women’s” Group?

As women we have particular interests and needs, some of which can best be met in an ‘all-women’ context, where women of all ages and backgrounds can get together in a safe environment of mutual acceptance and respect.

Why focus on ‘Bible Study’?

Our aim is to explore and grow in our relationship with God, through…

  • Reading God’s word together, discussing its meaning and relevance, and seeking to apply it to our daily lives,
  • Praying together, acknowledging our reliance on God’s spirit to enlighten and direct us.

This means: that we are not a ‘Counselling’ group, we do not seek to give “advice” or “solutions” to personal problems.

What are some other aims?

Building relationships, by listening to each other and by encouraging openness, support and care for each other.

This means: that we respect the privacy of each woman and stress that what is shared in the group is kept confidential.

Seeking to live out our faith and sharing God’s love with each other and in our wider communities.

Where do we meet?

We meet in the informal setting of the MCC Resource Centre on Main Street, Maynooth (above TSB Bank) starting with coffee and a chat before we read the Bible and pray together. Please clickhere for directions on how to get there.
