On Friday 25th March, MCC gathered for our annual Tenebrae Service in Manor Mills. Tenebrae comes from the Latin word for ‘Shadow’ and the service portrays the events that took place during the first Good Friday leading up to the ‘shadow’ of Jesus’ death.  Combining readings, song and silence, Tenebrae begins in light but after each reading a candle is blown out and the service finally ends in darkness with the announcement of Jesus’ death. As always it was a deeply moving commemoration of our Lord’s suffering and we are so thankful for all the effort and time put in by our worship and setup team to make the evening possible.
