The Alpha Course

What happens at the MCC Alpha Course – online version? 

The Alpha Course in MCC runs for around 8-10 weeks (depending on our meeting space availability) and is a relaxed and enjoyable introduction to the message of Jesus. We kick off with some tea, coffee and treats and an opportunity to catch up a bit. We then watch an Alpha video presentation that lasts around 20-25 minutes. Lastly, we have our discussion time on the presentation and/or any other questions that may have arisen during the evening. It’s as simple as that.

The basic outline of the Course is as follows:

Week 1 – Introduction: Is there more to life than this?

Week 2 – Who is Jesus?

 Week 3 – Why did Jesus Die?

 Week 4 –  How can we have Faith?

 Week 5 – Why and how should I Pray?

 Week 6 – How and Why should I read the Bible?

 Week 7 – Who is the Holy Spirit?

 Weeks 8-10 – What is the Church and what does Jesus teaching mean for us today?
